The Rape of the Sabine Women is a mythological episode that describes the abduction of women from the tribe of the Sabines by the founders of Rome.
In Rome, in the early days there were very few women. Romulus, the founder and first king, organized some sports events in honor of the god Neptune.
Began the spectacle, and at signal, every Roman kidnapped a woman. The Sabines women put a requieriment at the time of marriage: at home, they only ocuped the "loom", without being obliged to perform other household chores.
